El Clasico

 

The biggest clash between football rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona. March 1, 2020, was the night where these two Spanish giants clashed in the Madrid stadium Bernabeu. 

Following the loss in the first leg of the champions league match against Manchester City, Madrid fans had no hope left for a win against Barcelona, neither they had Hazard, nor their main striker was in form and defence was also in doubt.
Fans even got more upset by seeing the starting lineup of Madrid where Mendy was benched. Coach Zidane was blamed by everyone keeping in mind Benzema who had been so poor in form despite being the main striker, he needed rest until he gets his form back.

Former player and Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo was also there in Bernabeu to support his former club, he also signed a few jerseys for fans in Madrid.

The first half was dominated by Barcelona but they missed several chances including one of Griezmann's shots which was off the target and the other one of Messi who's shot was beautifully saved by Real Madrid goalkeeper Courtois which could have cost the club before halftime putting more pressure on players.
Courtois had many beautiful saves in the first half and he managed to keep a clean sheet.
Still, the condition was not satisfying because benzema was not in position and missed many chances to score, Isco had 2 chances but got wasted, the situation was horrifying if the players keep wasting chances in 2nd half too, Madrid might lose their place in laliga title race.

The second half was totally different and unexpected. Real Madrid dominated the half, Marcelo who had been poor in form since long played better along with Isco.
All this effort of the team made Vinicius Jr score first goal at 71' for Madrid and becomes the youngest player to score in Clasico at the age of 19. Vinicius seemed like giving tribute to his idol Cristiano Ronaldo by celebrating his goal in Ronaldo style.
Minute 71 and Barcelona was one goal down Vs Real Madrid because of Vinicius goal. The pressure was on, Mariano comes at 90+2' as a substitute and scores another for Madrid making it 2-0 against Barcelona.
Real Madrid managed to win the Clasico with a clean sheet making them top of the Laliga table.

Real Madrid beats Barcelona again, 3 consecutive Clasico wins in 3 different stadiums

April 10th was the night when two Spanish giants, biggest football rivals clashed in the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium in Madrid.  Following an absolute classic win against Liverpool in the Champions League, Real Madrid now has 98 wins in El Clasico edging Barcelona's tally of 96 after beating them 2-1 this Sunday, making Zidane the only coach to win 3 consecutive clasicos since 1978 climbing the club at top of the Laliga table.  The win also keeps the record for the coach who hasn't lost a clasico since 2017.  There has been no escaping injuries, especially this season for The Whites. Eden Hazard for whom the season has been ruined by multiple injuries won't be available until he recovers and the coach doesn't want to risk at all. Sunil Chhetri's brace lifts India 2-0 vs Bangladesh in a climacteric qualifier

India takes 3 points home in a must-win FIFA World Cup qualifier defeating Bangladesh 2-0 at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha with Sunil Chhetri's brace after a goalless first half. The blues reserved their first win after two years to continue in the race for reaching AFC Asian Cup in 2023. They have now sprung to third place in Group E collecting 6 points from seven matches.
